Tr na ng

A Poem by sea lily

she is: self-flagellation
our punishment for daring to dream
she is imitation
a longing for utter assimilation.
the brightest star in the west.
i would happily ride,
ten thousand miles into the night
past the place the monks pray,
sleep cushioned against the fading light...
spend all my three hundred years
catching her heart's flight.
