A Poem by sea lily

a picture of you,
against the waves
froth like steamed milk.
the sun turned your hair
to burnished gold.
it warmed your skin,
lighting it up,
like a hundred kisses.
the purest water milling
around dear, browned ankles
because we left our shoes
on the untouched sand
side by side
like how we stand.
your eyes are hidden
behind a lense
i close mine and can see
their immutable, dark depths.
