A Poem by sea lily

i'll rewind your song on sleep's soundboard
written for repose and inducing rest
with a strummed lullaby.
my offerings are less...
just silly little poems transcribed on cream card
and a stamp mark where i'd press my lips,
and seal my heart.
an instance of trust of untold price.
a spilling cynicism that cannot sleep
even when my eyes flutter and cease.
