for one

for one

A Poem by sea lily

that night, i felt
a course run through me,
archaic means to explain
a blood rush.
slumbering softly,
residual embers
that gave me sleep.
morning came,
and as the sun pushed
through the trees
you turned to me...
outshining.
i'll make chains of flowers
for your wrists
and you'll hold my gaze.
don't you know,
it's you i'll miss?
you fill my days,
you lift my cheeks,
you reach my heart.
and i must admit,
i'm yours.
