A Poem by sea lily
"

exaggeration, maybe

"
before you leave, i'd like
your thumbs to find a place
beneath my eyes,
the violet grooves
that shadow them.
a result of sleeping alone
which is not sleeping at all.
i wrestle with darkness
until the dawn breaks me.

because after you left,
i'd forgotten the test
and simply stood there
with your clothes pressed against my chest.
