Boire

Boire

A Poem by sea lily

'neath the tattooed eyes
blue and red, etched in ethanol
outside the wind blew
through the glass, branches
scraped against each other.
irregular heartbeats
les petites pillules
so lovely in their language
so harmless in their words.
hollow toes curling under covers
i scratched at my eyes.

in the emptiness of the bottle
i found myself wanting.
