A Poem by sea lily

leaning out of the window
the darkness, it's tempting-
into the deep
outside the cave.
rivulets swimming down my cheeks
or else stinging my eyes, blinding
a cautioning reminder
to mask an indrawn breath, now
avoiding the plague.
but this i know, i've known
perhaps for months it seems
luckily the rear view mirror
can't steal my breath, entirely.
