A Poem by sea lily

a phone call, that's all it takes
you seize me from this awful place
where thoughts and feelings overwhelm
and if i could, i'd stay for days.
beneath the covers, safe and dark
as others laugh and love outside
where will we go? somewhere far
escape from these sad reveries.

speech patterns
erase thought patterns
they dance around my head
infuse my cheeks
i smile again.
liberation, or some word
describing airless flight
faces spin past, forgotten
cast out by our hurricane
of tunes and quips
and speculation
who is she? who is he?
they evaporate within
as we consume the road
no destination, no care.
endless laughter raining down
in jasper's green abode.
