morte

morte

A Poem by sea lily

severed, middle, cut fine and clean
the best that could be hoped for, considering.
swallowing, sinking beneath a sweet picture
minimum and hardly good enough, but for the purpose.
paltry syllables for a paltry subject.
i remember a time when i could illustrate
when i inhabited myself so fully.

reaching desperation
sighs don't fade and courage wanes
just as well, requires bravery
to read 1991-2008, dearly.
