impasse

impasse

A Poem by sea lily

an empty hand clenched and occupied
my soul reminder, only too difficult to speak.
close your eyes and absorb, we fly over.
some blank feeling, some strange function
holding me on the surface - never penetrating me.
thoughtlessly i smile, recklessly my lips
not my heart, not my mind
i keep them hidden now. to surrender
my surface to all manner of which
could never hurt me beneath the skin.

it's true that an expression of blankness can get us past someone's bad manners
and yet, the bad part is, often no one is at fault or least do they believe they're
hurting someone

cool write, hope it's healing for you to do so..
