A Poem by sea lily

compress me so subtly
the smooth walls that cage me
your strong arms
condense me, slowly
closing in on my identity
sometimes, i have a name.
shut off any higher meaning
until i act your part perfectly.
they praise me; i dance so well
for all this breathing space.
which returns in hot clouds
to blind me and cease me
like chloroform.
the walls tightening.
i used to like small spaces
now i'm learning my lines.
