on tap

A Poem by sea lily

vague hand motions
pumping away, caustic ceiling
dystopian vision
drain me, empty me
discharge my polluted soul.
bare body, we elevate
but my stumbling vision
my buckling knees
eyes inky, flooded too soon
because sometimes
i forget to keep breathing.
and my bright smiling boy
he's void on the bed
extinguished beyond recognition
