shaken

shaken

A Poem by sea lily

i bury my head in grey
resisting the urge to raise my head
to focus, nervously, on familiar lips
so i trace patterns on his chest
and with our foreheads pressed together
the cold reverberates in my bones
and that electric instant
is lost to my tense shoulders
and his parting smile.
