death cabA Poem by sea lily
we sped past a cream and copper skyline
the finality and the intensity, the promise made in earnest. in the darkness, next to me she lingered arm resting against mine on the cool metal hair like cream and caramel but her eyes were empty. i let mine blur and dislocate, to become your arm, your hair - just don't meet her gaze and you can shape your own reality. i gave life to the reverberating walls opened up the sky into clouds transformed these pillars into falling rain a memory and an imagining combining to form tangible truth. his voice solidifies my joy, he immerses me in it i cling for support and release i cast my eyes above i'm alive. © 2008 sea lilyAuthor's Note
