the lights

the lights

A Poem by sea lily

burst before me
as my hands tuck into cuffs
and spark around me
as my hat gently hugs my hair
light up my face
as you light up the clouds
and shower around me
like the fallen rain.
my cheeks flush ruddy
against the whipping air
and i'm alive, and i'm happy
even if i'm alone here.
