reap

reap

A Poem by sea lily

i scan and feel sick
regurgitating phrases
i never wanted to read
and lou reed, he croons to me
soft melodies, bittersweet
like you.
you who inspired me
dragged from me errant words
sentiments too ardently felt
for your shy ears.
rebuff me, use me
haul me after you willingly
as these words turn to coal.
and the girl with the angel face
shouldn't be kept waiting.
