halloween

A Poem by sea lily

impermeable liquid barrier
cushy around her mouldable mind
but jolted awake - effects cease
and images replay, her frightened eyes
staring into light fittings and rerun
familiar voices, singing her sleepily
she cannot refrain.
limbs pulsating, a chorus
the clock ticks slowly forward
painful minutes of painful possibility
the darkness of the season.
no rising sun to pacify frantic minds
no warm body to ease fear, silently
she knows better than this
but at every small sound, panic rises.

This is a very interesting piece. I can co-relate it with lot of situation apart from the story you wanted to convey. I actually had the "sleep paralysis" issues in past and I could put the aspect of this piece in there. Your poem is visually quite rich. Please keep up the good work.
