A Poem by sea lily

stumble inside off cold streets
i can change your life, they whisper
i can make you somebody new
and i want to be these people, for you
but i am not your dancing girl
i'm ravaged by my inconsistencies
which a nose ring and a soundtrack won't solve
and i want to grow my hair longer now.
chilly cement providing a resting place
and the arms around me aren't my own
which is the greatest comfort i can imagine
in these foreign streets
in these desolate times.
