seasonal

seasonal

A Poem by sea lily

they gather behind my eyes
and menace me silently
the seasons disappear suddenly
only the cold smack of air
and my chapped hands remain.
i try to recall this wasted summer
where i hid my head under my wings
and wandered alone in a dark void
hibernating from the sunshine
so senselessly of me, the only tonic
that i can imagine for this ill.
and i can see, i can see everything
weary eyes in place of wide enlightenment
and i wish it could have been easier.
