A Poem by sea lily

the air is thick
remnants of a feeling
a half-remembered smile
from a half-remembered girl
a sometimes boyfriend
addlepating the crowds
a boy lost forever
an ammonite in my palm
fossils of a time
i just can't forget
the crush and the carousel
of parading failures
one mischance after another
one pair of lips after another
one cigarette after another.
