A Poem by sea lily

hello, baby
little salmon
flickering life against my fingertips.
your father's palm,
warm and comforting
you wriggle with joy.
little mother
with birds on her breast
where you'll lay your head
the soft, downy blond hair
wish i could keep you here, safe
forever.

life... such a gift it reaches beyond words. though I must say, you have done it quite a justice with such a tender and warm feeling.
