i want

i want

A Poem by sea lily

i want him to know the inside of me.
kiss the spot beneath my ear,
concealed from view
and tug gently on my hair.
want those eyes
arresting
and touches, lingering.
in the grass
and in the depths of the sheets.
erasing memory
the firm grasp of his hand
in dark corners
and those long walks home.
i want to stroke those shoulders
and bury my head in his chest.
i want to lay,
cocooned in those arms.
'keep me, take me,
fascinate me and thrill me'
send those delicate shivers down my spine.
kissing closed eyelids.
to write poetry and smoke cigarettes,
the cats scattered underfoot.
wrapped in cotton throws
huddled on the windowsill
i want the breathless moment
on the brink of intimacy.
i want him
to here with me.

There is great power in voicing intent... and, like in the Neverending Story, the more beautiful and detailed the wish, the more powerful the outcome. This was lovingly drafted and wonderfully expressed.
