I Am AngerA Poem by TheSeaOfWoeA narrative poem written from the perspective of the embodiment of the anger which lives inside all of us.I am anger. I wonder what I can destroy. I hear fools say my power can be controlled and contained forever. I see that this is an obvious lie, said with ridiculous optimism. I want to be free, so why don’t you just release me? I am anger. I pretend that I am not dangerous. I believe that many have and will again fall for my clever trap. I touch the hearts of many, o how tragic it is. I feel that I will live forever, in hiding, waiting for my opportunity to strike. I worry that someone will find control, my opportunity may never come. I wait patiently, as the wise predator always waits for its prey. I am anger. I understand that I am the cause for destruction in this sinful world. I say that I cannot be tamed. I dream that this is true, for I love the torture I bring upon wretched humanity. I am anger. Release me. © 2014 TheSeaOfWoeAuthor's Note
