In the Early Morning

In the Early Morning

A Poem by TheSeaOfWoe
"

A love poem I once wrote for a girl I loved, which addresses how I would always be there for her through her self harm and everything else, along with other things.

"

In the early morning,

when I fathom my first thoughts,

there is something my mind has always sought.

It is you.

The one I love.

You fit into my mind without a single push or a shove.

You simply fit

and it makes perfect sense,

because your beauty illuminates my happiness within.

There is no sickness or sin,

no doubt or dangerous emotional brew,

no matter what you and I are going through.

I’ll always care for you,

my sweet, sweet love.

I really just want to be beside you,

and hold you through the night.

I want to chase your nightmares away,

while the morning, in turn, gradually chases the darkness of the night away.

I will kiss the scars on your skin

and we would both be made whole again.

The sun to shine,

you’d still be mine,

in the wonderful early morning.
