There is a place

There is a place

A Poem by Michelle N. H.

There is a place for you and I, where I alone exist. I respire in the visions I am given, and the ones that I create.

Longing has a melody of its own, a symphony of lament emotion - abiding and unfulfilled. Its notes remain somewhere between fantasy and a reality I fail to stay put in.

I see a raindrop, and I am taken to an ocean. I see a star, and I am taken to a world distant from where I stand.

In my heart, I know home is elsewhere and I am left with this, a choice I made, before mortal breathing.

Here I wait for destiny to take a turn and slip me through, to whom I care for, closer to you.

The stream is lethargic, but flowing and predetermined.

I hold on to words.

Love over fear.

Not letting go of you.

The same title different dimension. I wrote about a place but you have penned a dream. A world where reality and fantasy intertwined. I know it's redundant but I may have to use this word again. It's amazing ... Can an unborn baby makes a choice or decision before its predetermined birth ? Perhaps a Higher Being imprint that in an unborn baby's heart to crave for such longing just like a salmon who knows how to return to a place from where it had been spawned and a baby turtle who knows by instinct to run back to the safety of the water. Perhaps it's been imprinted to us to have longing for that place ...where there's no more pain or tears.

Those are quite big words.. Thank you so much, Rob. Made me happy to read.
longing and melancholy do have a melody all their own...and it is hard to hear...love over fear...
and that melody is like one of song we dislike, but still can't get that tune out of our heads.

Thank you for coming here, Jacob. I do appreciate your words.
"Love over fear"

Love over fear...there's nothing to fear. No reason for it, just none. The music is perfect for your words, Mi. I am scared too, but besting that which we're scared of...is a testament to what we choose--Love, over fear.
