Closer perhaps

Closer perhaps

A Poem by Michelle N. H.

I do not wish to be

The bars of someone's seclusion

I do not wish to intrude

To force or cause pain

I cannot help my feelings

And honesty lets out

What I cannot conceal

You are free

He always was a bird to me

Unreachable and

Closer to the sun

I walk the shores

With the rhythm of waves

To go where I belong

Not astray

Never too far away

This is just by stretch of imagination. If perhaps reincarnation is indeed true. I want to return as a bird in a second life so I would experience what it feels like to soar and fly above the earth and to be free. I'm not limited to just one tree though there are thousands perhaps millions of tree around me and within my wings reach. The author's second stanza catches my eyes:

" You are free. He always was a bird to me. Unreachable and closer to the sun. "

Don't we covet and admire someone perhaps or simply because they have been endowed with everything we ever wanted to be in life. I have always admire an eagle. It's lofty status, strength and its close affinity with the sky and it's beyond our reach for we have been only granted to be a bottom dwellers. I love the pondering of your thoughts here and how sweetly in short words wander through time, space and closer to where the heart is ....always seeking, always yearning for home .

When life starts to turn dark the only way out is to follow the beacon that is our faith. Quite an inspirational poem.

I am happy. Thank you so much.
Fish... I'll break my diet and meet you on the back of the ocean, for a dinner of fish.

I know exactly what I don't know what I am saying, I am very tired, and you are very much so...too much, too great. Not towards an intolerable level, but just simply so much. You are so much.

Well, that's sort of gross.
