A Poem by Sharla Doodle

We walked in and out of the shelves,
books we'd never read
and books we'd never read.

Wandering apart, but feeling together.
I took up a text,
from 50 feet you took one better.

You saw me once before we left,
the only time you ever found me in a crowd,
even of pages.

We left hand in hand,
I never suspected you'd send me that book.
I'd never hoped that much from you.

How would you know what I love?

Love the ambiguity and the way your words grasp at awkward feelings. This is a great inner dialgoue and poem aswell. Lovely write ;)
