My Sister and I

My Sister and I

A Poem by Samantha Lay
"

We have been through a lot and I know there is a lot more to come.

"
My sister is not always easy to describe nor would I say she's always right,
Sure we have a lot of rough patches and even some serious kick boxing matches
But no matter how metaphorical I am I still can't describe where she stands.
It simple to say we are two normal sisters who pin point the flaws in one another,
But yet we are no were near that normal
For our age gape can be a bit of a stumble,
Fifteen years seems like oh so much and perhaps it is a bit of a jump,
But we've both made some major mistakes and wondered a path many could not change,
I can honestly say we've yelled and screamed,
Cried and laughed about the same things,
Taught each other a lesson or too, never acknowledging all we've been through,
Stood along our mothers side when she needed someone too help her survive,
Not to forget one crazy father that is ready and willing to help out his daughters
We may be two different people but that does not change who we are,
I don't care what you say
You are my sister
And I love you all the same
