My first poem or first attempt at a poem.

Life's real funny with it's up's and downs

The world keeps spinning going round and round

All we try and do is make a penny and a pound

Or find that love connect that will make are heart pound.

But I don't hear no sound, no beat like a drum

I truly can't remember when I really had fun

Now is it just me or is it how life's meant to be

I wanna go back to having feelings of plenty

Cos deep inside me everything is empty

Feeling happy is now a distant memory.

So mirror mirror on the wall

I can lie to everyone, just not to you at all.

So I will drink till I'm drunk

And get high of that skunk

No one will ever know, that it's all just a front.

Now let me take you back

To when I was a lad like Jack

No care in this world

Now this world don't care.

So round and round it goes

Where it stops, I don't know

But when that time comes

I know I will be done.
