CouchSurfing

CouchSurfing

A Poem by chaos
"

This is a poem about my experience while Couchsurfing. I have both surfed and hosted. I wrote about the nerves to start and how it becomes apart of my life.

"
Visiting foreign countries, far and near
Mingling with locals, there and here
Onto the next place, onto the next host
Take photo's here, next facebook post

First contacted on the net, brought on fear
Met with the host, had some beer
Nerves are gone, conversations had
New friends made, not so bad

A host here, a host there
Open my door, bring them here
Now I am the hose, for a pair
There is no charge, for the room we spare

Reference left, reference given
Next group in, a nice night out
A stroll on the boardwalk,
A day on the beach

A community built on trust
Couchsurf or bust

I am very new to poetry. I wrote my first one just a few days ago. I do not know why, but I continue to write them. So I am seeking ideas and inspiration from other people. more..
