Suns of Amber HueA Poem by NicoleYes, it is for you, Love <3 <3 <3My Darling, You are star light. But don’t worry; I do not insult
your beauty by relying on clichés. I do not mean to say you are a
light in the sky that children wish upon. No, you are a supernova. A fire burning off the cosmos for
the simple reason that it can. A gravity pulling together an
internal inferno, and making colors dance by it. The blue tongues may pull out
from beneath your surface, But you lose nothing which you do
not gain back, For you, my Darling, are infinite. You are the love that makes
height reach to kiss the sky, Hoping only for a glance at you. The universe is empty without
you; It echoes as an ocean without
depth, And the world is nothing without
your light. But you, my Darling, give off
your light quite by accident. You never meant to glow, But you cannot stop the rays now. They’re hurdling through space
and time, Bending through black holes, And reflecting off thousands of
moons. Your light may take years to
spread, But it will take eons to forget, As the only one not touched by
the rays, Is you. You cannot see past your own blaze. And this is perhaps the saddest story
of all, For radiant beauty must always
come blind. © 2012 NicoleFeatured Review
