The WaterA Poem by Miss SheaThe water Its poison And will soon take my life Deep down under The surface close, But, no I will not go Where there is air Because here Is where I’m safe But you will never understand… Not this…my voluntary surrender To the watery depths And water will fill my lungs Painful pleasure… Like no other Can you see? The beauty in this place, The passion beneath the surface… The surface of sleep The fine line between imagination And dream-like reality The self-imposed delusions Fantasies of my life Intertwined with reality Altered by my perception Incomprehensive to all who dare To venture in my mind And rediscover me Beneath the surface Where I hide In the water For all of time
