Murmur

Murmur

A Poem by TheScreamingSadist
"

Tired of all these mainstream, cliche love poems. A heart is an organ to pump blood. How is that romantic?

"
From the start, the hefty
Vena Cava; superior to the
inferior flow that goes inward,
pumps and lubs and dubs.

lub
dub
lub
dub

reaches maximum velocity
pumping
pumping
lubbing
dubbing
to the aorta
to the body
and back to the start
until it stops

dead in its tracks
and you keel over
and die.

(30 feet is an amazing distance)

After all, it is just a heart.
