Buildeth Me a Wall

Buildeth Me a Wall

A Story by Scoxander
"

Something I wrote as a tribute to a series of games I really like, Thief In the games a faction call the Hammers worship a god and I wrote a story to accompany several stories that are in the games.

"
The Builder saideth to the man "I want thee to build me a wall 15 beams in height."
Graciously the man replied "I shall do as thou commands me, oh Master Builder. Thou can rest assured
that thine wall will be true to thine glory and worthy of thine name."
And so the man started to build the wall. He worketh day and night, needeth neither food, nor
water, nor sleep. Setting brick upon brick, stone upon stone, hour by hour the wall grew and grew.
The Builder residing in the man's mind always and constant.

When the wall reacheth the precise height of 15 beams, the man continued building the wall higher. 4 days passeth when his friends layeth words upon his ears that the wall was too high. Surely it would fall into rubble shouldeth become any more higher. Ignorant the man respondeth
"The Builder shallth not see it so, t'is in his name I build it, t'is His glory it reflects. It shan't fall." Thus the man continued.
The wall still grew and grew untill it could reacheth the clouds. The mortar was cracked and torn, the foundations on which the wall sat upon hath sunken deep into the ground, while the wall itself was crooked.

Yet despite all the flaws it was held together by the man's devotion and dedication, but the man kepth building higher and higher. Then the Builder cameth and asketh the man"I asketh thee to buildeth me a wall 15 beams in height. Yet this wall exeeds and exeeds still my wish."
Proudly the man respondeth "Oh but Master Builder I saideth to thee I wouldst buildeth thee a wall worthy of thine name and true to thine glory. When people will looketh at thine wall, they shallth see what I have buildeth for thee and will knoweth how great thine name truly is." The Builder pondereth a moment, then pusheth the wall down towards the ground, crushing the man beneath. And the Builder then spake
"How couldst this wall be worthy of mine name when thou couldst not even perform the single and most simple task I hath asketh of thee?"

About
I am a 24 year old Belgian guy. I've read about 3 maybe 4 books in my life, it's not that I don't like reading. It's just that a book needs to call out to me and that rarely happens. My entire life .. more..
