remember where yo came from

remember where yo came from

A Poem by Scout Ventures

Seven strings

A mouth that sings

Lights burn down

Late night town

South of main

Sky oozing rain

But still they come

More now they come

Not just the smoke

The drunk without hope

More hangs near the stage tonight

Quiet. Just watching. I glance but the lights are to bright

There are wispers i know

That they come for my show

But i can't let it sway me

So again i give huston what it's come out to see

I thank when it's over

The men stride on closer

They smile shake my hand

They really

Really

Really

Love the band

Four years later

It's our prints in a paver

It's platinum times two

It's oxfords and silk suits

It's big houses nice cars

We take the emies over bars

But

But

But

We have it all

So we have all we have to loose

It all falls so do we drown our tears in booze

My advice to you?

When the fame beacons here and the money says come

Tunrn on your heel run baby run!

Dont ever forget where it was you came from
