Written Off

A Poem by Scott Kris
"

I used to interact a lot on writing forums. I’m very expressive and open. I say what I feel. And… it seems so often people choose the worst meanings. And then the character assassins begin to work.

"
Written Off

All I did was share
my truth
reading false
judged uncouth,
sacred places all lay bared
interpretation loose
woven into your creation
I became a noose

People these days are too set in their ways. Not all of them, just the majority of them. Mostly in the middle class, or better. Antisocial stratification runs rampant, as a lot of people cheat. My question, that's based on what you wrote is since when is a healthy reformer a nuisance? The same is true for a real wise realist. Honest Abe's, too! These people are not nuisances, period, and this is based on indisputable facts. So, in my opinion, the real problem here is leaders who don't deserve to be leaders, as they are too fickle. We live in a way less than ideal society where everyone thinks a good image will make everything better. Essentially, schizophrenia runs rampant, right along with artificial intelligence dependency. Psychiatrists won't own up to this and be honest because they are too busy being juvenile addicts and affective dependents. These are the real nuisances, or better. Check my Facebook entries out

A sign of our times... our freedom to be ourselves is measured by people that take exception when we don't follow their perceptions of what our "thoughts" should be.

Triggered by everything. Ha.

Thank you for reading.

More of "triggered by anything".
Oh my goodness...we all do wonder what is real..
Being true to ourselves and not judging others is a good start..
but one needs to go beyond that...and seek the real..

I gt it, (I think) people are spouting untruths out there and that's bad enough, but when you attempt a coup or bang someone over the head with a hammer (for political reasons or just rage) that's very different.... I think we all have to be vigil and know ourselves and respect others as long as it's both ways . we have a long way to go in this country. Nice write...

There is a big difference between objective criticism and personal attacks on anything out there. As long it is done in a respectable way. I just blocked a writer who was harrasing me. I can tell the difference. I sometimes email people privately so not to embarrass them.
Excellent and honest.

You are wise indeed. I agree wholeheartedly. All rich blessings.
I think I get the meaning here and I understand it for the most part. These places can be helpful, they can be critical, or they can be just an ego boost that lasts for a few minutes and then is gone. Often when we speak our mind, the definitions of what we meant fly at us like a flock of seagulls going after a ham and cheese sandwich we are holding. We just have to learn to absorb or deflect I guess, but life is like that as well. Ok, I will climb down off of my soapbox now...your poem. I liked it though I think the second part chopped up the rhythm a bit, but maybe that is what you had in mind. Still a cool piece.

This is a great website to be a hobbyist on. Alright, so you had a big pause with writing websites. It's not the end of the world. People come and go all the time. I hope you don't feel guilty for your big pause. You shouldn't, as a lot of people find some other interest in life for a while, but it is good that you express an interest in writing websites.

So, you became the noose. Writing to work something out like this is a great way to be more aware of what is going on between your thought life and your mind.
