Counting

Counting

A Poem by Scorpio6

I used to count how many times a day you said 'I love you.'
Both hands, all toes, barely enough
What happened? Where has it gone?
My love has not changed but I have trouble telling you so.
I wish I knew that was the same for you, but I don't.

Where has our love gone?
When will it be back?

I am tired of the fighting, hurting, the distance and the pain
I want my love back but I don't know were it is.
Tell me where and I will get it, I will go no matter how far or how long it takes.

I used to count how time you said 'I love you,' what is there to count now?

How can I just let it go?

Very open and honest poem. Very brave of you, and touching. Definitely a poem that all can relate to.

The first verse is best!

"I used to count how many times a day you said 'I love you.'
Both hands, all toes, barely enough"

I absolutely LOVE that.
