The desire, the wanting and the yearning;
Striving, trying, failing, and succeeding,
Are deep within the Soul.

Inspiration lurks with desperation;
All things are possible, even if improbable.
One’s hopes and fears, one’s pain and tears,
Lurk deep within the Soul.

Pleasure and bliss, anguish and regret, 
Light verses dark, right verse wrong;
Aspiration and determination,
All these lay deep within the Soul.

The muse, the pen, the imagination,
These are what make the Soul;
For you are a writer and a poet,
Deep within your Soul.
