In a heartbeat, a line can be crossed,
In a heartbeat, a friendship can be lost.
In a heartbeat, two can have fun,
In a heartbeat, a love can be won.

In a heartbeat, you’ll know it’s true,
In a heartbeat, I’ll always love you.
In a heartbeat, our hearts beat as one,
In a heartbeat, a family’s begun.

In a heartbeat, time can stand still,
In a heartbeat, you can climb that hill.
In a heartbeat, a flower can bloom,
In a heartbeat, a man becomes a groom.

In a heartbeat, a child can be made,
In a heartbeat, a relationship is frayed.
In a heartbeat, hurt can be done,
In a heartbeat, a bullet leaves the gun.

In a heartbeat, blood spills on the floor,
In a heartbeat, they breathe no more.
In a heartbeat, a life has been crushed,
In a heartbeat, a funeral is hushed.

In a heartbeat, a family alone,
In a heartbeat, a killer must atone.
In a heartbeat, a man is behind bars,
In a heartbeat, writing his memoirs.

In a heartbeat, a mistake un-rectified,
In a heartbeat, the killer is to be fried.
In a heartbeat, a man goes to hell,
In a heartbeat, there’s no more to tell.
