Grey Days

A Poem by Jamie
"

What happens when you push

"

Grey days

Pushing, always pushing,
You know it’s wrong.
Still you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
You know it hurts.
Yet you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
How far will you go?
And so you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
Closer to the edge.
But you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
Nearer to the fall.
So you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
Bringing you pain.
Again you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
Though it’s undeserved.
Harder you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
You are on the brink.
Thus you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
Inflicting your will.
Hence you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
They can take no more.
Therefore you push.

Pushing, always pushing,
The damage is now done.
One more push.

Pushing, always pushing,
Now they are gone.
No need to push.

Pushing, always pushing,
Again you are alone.
Why did you push?

Moral: don’t push away the one you love.
