The Dolorous window of a "Knyght Presoner"

The Dolorous window of a "Knyght Presoner"

A Poem by Scisenheart
"

dole means sorrow or lamentation, so i think you can get what dolorous means. knyght presoner is the name given to the author of le morte d'arthur by himself. passing means exceedingly.

"
The dolorous window of a tenement block
looks out to a puddle and embankment.
My escape,
my isle of Avalon.

The dolorous window of your medieval prison
looked out to a world I hold high above mine,
but one this
"Knyght presoner" can't stand.

Passing fair or passing foolish, which is the girl
of the dolorous window? the knight with a
pen not a
sword in her hand.

"Cum ea carnaliter concubuit" vengeful and violent.
This cannot be the knight of the dolorous tower,
the beacon
of chivalry, now gone.

But this is the author, the lamenting and imprisoned knight.
After all, armour doesn't shine, and knights were made to fight.

Author's Note

Scisenheart
the stuff in latin is part of what he was charged for, and why he's in prison.
its not my best, so I'll really welcome some constructive criticism.

I like the way you make the reader think about the content of your poetry. As constructive criticism,( what you asked for), I would suggest writing something which can directly relate to the reader. Apart from that, a job well done.
