Because.....

sometimes, my reasons are a little different from what most people assume them to be.

I'd like you to know,

Its not because of you.

Its not because you're shorter than most

not because of your eyes,

its not because you're imperfect and strange.

None of there things I despise.

Its not because you act like a kid

that I just see you as a friend,

Its not because your suicidal intent

hurts me to no end.

Its not because he's handsome

and quite a few inches taller than you.

In no way is he superior, that's not

why I do the things I do.

I know it must have hurt you greatly

to learn what he and I have done.

The innocent girl finally grew up

and a w***e is what she had become.

Its because I've learnt its safer

to separate love from lust.

I can't give my heart to one alone

I can't give you all my trust.

Fifteen years taught me nothing

but the next one let me see

I had fooled myself with fairy tale dreams

and no-one was in love with me.

What most people view as love

is fickle and flimsy as dust.

the undying love they claim, is nothing more

than sugar coated lust.

I'll love you until the day I die

but I'll never let you in.

You have the half of my heart that is sweet and kind,

but the rest is a pit of sin.

It's because you love me deeply,

that you'll never share my bed.

It's because I love you, and it scares me,

that's why you never leave my head.
