Dead wood looms over the leafy rope
at hangman's tree, I give up hope
at my heart, fear's vicious hands do grope
Hangman's TreeA Poem by Scisenheartthis is about a morbid tree i encountered on my way to school, and how perfectly it symbolised how traped i feel, and how walfing to school feels like walking out onto a set of gallows. It seems the sun will never rise and end my anxious, bitter cries even then; I'm not protected fom your lies The lies of life that taught me how to be the best, then give in now leave the dance floor with an obliging bow But I will tell them that I know there's more to life than letting go and then I'll give the fatal blow I'm as pure as a peaceful dove I like the idea of a home up above and I believe in the magic of love And so I walk past the hangman's tree there are so many places I would rather be I'll get out of here someday, you'll see Because I'm as pure as a peaceful dove I'll find my true home up above and I one day I will fall in love © 2011 ScisenheartReviews
