Blind

Blind

A Poem by Scisenheart

Love is blind.
Is that not an insult?
When forever closed minded your heart shuts out
All that you refuse to see.

I am blind.
I cannot see love, I cannot see hope.
I do not believe so I refuse to see,
Is it not supposed to be the other way round?
You do not see so you refure to believe.

For we are blind to our blindness,
Never knowing.
We do not question.
Never think to ask,
If our hope is real or if our love is true.

You are not blind.
Though you cannot see,
Your eyes have failed you, but your soul has not.
To look, to think, to ask.
The poet never gets the girl
All he has is poetry.
Let me be your poetry.
