A Woman I'd Wish I'd Knew

A Woman I'd Wish I'd Knew

A Poem by Mike; The Lone Maverick
"

This is a poem I wrote in July about A woman I seen bending over at the mall. I could see everything behind the sun. I wanted to talk to her so badly but didn't. This poem reflects that.

"

"A Woman I Wish I Knew"

Walking around I smell the
Sensuous sent of jasmine
Permeating out of your skirt
An article of clothing so short

I can see those visually deceptive
G-string undergarments, I would
Have liked to ask you your aspiratons,
Goals, plans, inspirations, hopes, dreams

I would have like to say
One word to you, as you
Alluringly strut away from
My depth perception, I could

Have inquired about your favorite
Color, or favorite song, I bet
You like the same abstract underground
Jams I do, or the tasteless music

I don't wish to listen to
Your opinions are encircling my
Brain, I can't stop thinking
Of what could've been blossomed

Between us as I envision
Us holding hands walking
The pine barrons in the
Summer sunflower secents

I long to ask you if you
Read, favorite book, we
Could have talked hours
About D.H. Lawrence, or Poe

But, axiety is incarcerating
Me. rendering my syntax nonsensical
Causing me to utter intranslatable
Blabber, I wish I would have known

What lies between that skirt
What is hidden beneath the bra
How warm you're insides feel
The texture of your skin

I will move along wondering
What would it be like--
If you knew I exist--

the structure is interesting, the plot slightly cliche. But you make it refreshing by making it modern. Overall interesting poem :]
