Abrasive FlowersA Poem by Mike; The Lone MaverickA surreal poem. The star poem of my first book of the same name“Abrasive Flowers” The sun was shown immaculately
I’m a chimpanzee skipping on a vernal
Life is a reemerging émigré who ran
By the smell of blooming blueberries
Gilding in the wind melodiously
Scenes of murders appear, bombs
Is shifting to black; the air thickens Nuclear bombs, panic fills the streets In a moment of catastrophic catharsis Abrasive flowers are spewing blood My how moments change within A single mundane breath of city smog The war of minds has commenced © 2008 Mike; The Lone MaverickAuthor's Note
