Snoetry

Snoetry

A Poem by Alex Delk
"

A poem about what I see.

"

This wonderland,

of the whitest sand,

some cannot stand,

but it's my delight.

'Tis crisp and 'tis bold,

though it never gets old,

when you feel the cold,

do you also feel fright?

Like love at first sight,

I think, is it true?

It may, and it might,

hearts red and skins blue.

The glistening tracks

for whatever it's worth

had me taken aback,

from this white sheet of Earth.

Delicately crafted,

this pristine wonderland,

could have only been drafted,

from our very God's hand.

Author's Note

Alex Delk
Snow poetry= Snoetry. This was a creative writing assignment for my school. I am aware of the inconsistency in the rhyme scheme. I got tired of abab or aabb; I went with something unique, which flows if read right:ABAB AAAB ABAB ABCB ABAB, relative to stanza
