For TaylorA Poem by BHosickTake a pleasant garden And grow it further on. Take the soil in your hands, And plant from dusk til dawn. Coddle every flower, And sing to every seed. Weep with every willow, And withered branches, feed. When morning dew has kissed their leaves, The haze of dawn is breaking, Rise up with the sun my child, To see day lilies waking. Walk among your garden, Turn its face toward the sun, Stand tall among the flowers fair, Til petals come undone. And once the buds have run their course, As often buds will do, Take a seed from withered stalk, And plant your flow'rs anew. © 2016 BHosick |
