A Poem by ScaryMissCherry

You just filled an empty void-
That’s all that you are.
You may be a thief-
But you’ll never steal my heart.

Besides, how can you take
Something that is not there?
It’s not like you were around
to even shed a care.

You were the only one
Who made me cry in years-
And now here I am
Trying to get back those tears.

They don’t belong to you
And they never did.
You’re a grown man
So I’m sure you’ll deal with it.

Like you said before-
You don’t want me for your life-
I was just a crutch-
And your pretty little lie.

Funny how the tables
Have seemed to turn
And I’m not your dirty secret-
I have found a cure.

A cure for you
You wicked little disease
So try as you may
You can no longer hurt me.
