Beautiful use of language! It kind of has that William Shatner feeling to it, as you go to the next line. My only problem is that this poem is too advanced for my own reading level, but I know in my heart that you wrote this the way you intended.
Apocolyptic rearrangement....might be the only way to wipe the slate clean. You have a penchant for deep social comment and way to say things that has a punch....great work.
Love the imagery of this indepth look at life awaiting once more the dawn of beauty, this could so be a person or an entire planet, I really loved it. Keep em' coming and glad you liked the avatar.
very nice - you indeed have an elegant tone in your works as Shawn noted - so many great lines - really liked these - "bed of cold marl and damp stone
i will lay in abeyance there until all
memory fades of the works of men" - nice!
Oh, this is amazing...brings to mind the long Winter, and Winter Solstice thoughts I have, I see a place in the North where the sun doesn't shine for long periods of time. Maybe the sun needs a break from looking down at all the damage done by humans...we all need our Winters of forgetting and renewal...this poem reads like a myth. I'd like to read this again on the night of Winter Solstice.
ah... your style is very elegant... an ageless classic language I am drawn to without effort. Unbelievable what magic you have blooming during a simple transferring of light to darkness. And yet the light to darkness is life to death. And through that process of deep never-ending sleep your remains will be recreated into something magnificent. Absolutely elegant.
I aspire to write stuff down and have people enjoy it.
